Who decides where the body is transferred after the examination?

After release, further transfer is usually organised by the relatives or by the competent funeral office or a commissioned funeral home. Relatives can determine the destination together with the commissioned funeral home.

The Institute of Forensic Medicine does not decide where the funeral or burial takes place.
